What will I get out of the Collective?

Christian nonprofits are tasked with leading some of the most impactful work around the world. While our mission and purposes are clear, we must continue to innovate for the future and stay rooted in our calling and in biblical principles.

WinShape has crafted a three-day experience exclusively for nonprofit executives with proven solutions that are rooted in biblical wisdom and customized to work in the context of the ministry work, all applied in an in-person, interactive peer experience that refreshes and equips participating leaders.

Topics We’ll Work Through

  • Leading Through Change

    • Keeping teams aligned and mission-focused when everything is shifting.
    • Exploring how nonprofit leaders can navigate ongoing change with clarity—helping teams stay unified, engaged, and anchored to mission through seasons of transition.
  • Fundraising

    • Building sustainable financial support through strategic donor engagement.
    • Strengthening leaders’ ability to cultivate trust, steward relationships, and build long-term financial sustainability through clear vision and effective donor strategy.
  • Team Health & Engagement

    • Developing healthy, engaged teams that sustain impact.
    • Focusing on trust, communication, and accountability—equipping leaders to foster staff and volunteer teams that are energized, resilient, and aligned around mission.
  • Soul Care

    • Establishing rhythms that sustain spiritual, emotional, and relational health.
    • Creating space for leaders to prioritize well-being and spiritual formation, cultivating practices that support longevity and guard against burnout.

This Collective will blend between keynotes, panel discussions, breakouts, and time to connect with one another.

What can I expect and what’s expected from me?

This is a convening of influencers and thinkers in the ministry space. Our hope is that you will come with a willingness to share, network, think, learn and connect. We will eat great food, worship together, talk about bright spots and hear from legacy builders in this space. All that’s expected from you is to bring your curiosity and willingness to connect in a community of like-minded individuals.

Additionally, as we dream for the future, we’d ask that you would provide honest and open feedback about the experience through a follow-up survey and potentially in a short-term focus group setting!

What about travel arrangements?

You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements.

Are lodging and meals provided?

For this experience, both lodging and meals are provided at a deeply discounted rate. Our delicious, southern-inspired meals are provided for groups and individuals as part of the total retreat package. Our dining facility does not operate like a restaurant, though we can make accommodations for dietary restrictions. Let us know if you have restrictions or certain needs when you RSVP, so we can prepare to serve you well ahead of time.

Are children allowed at WinShape Retreat?

We love children, but we believe our retreat environment is best suited for adults. Therefore, no infants or children under the age of 18 are permitted.

What should I pack?

We recommend packing comfortable clothing and walking shoes so you can enjoy the surrounding 27,000 acres of wilderness. There are 9,000 acres of hiking and biking trail to enjoy. In cool months, it’s best to dress in layers. With some of the activities we are planning, you will want to bring a pair of closed-toe shoes

What amenities are provided in each room?

All of our rooms have king-sized beds and are fully stocked with linens, an alarm clock, private bathroom with shower and dual-sink vanity, hair dryer, facial and bath soap, body lotion, shampoo, bottled water, iron and ironing board, and a Bible. We offer media-free rooms without TVs or telephones to promote a truly sequestered environment free from common distractions.

Are there accessible rooms or elevators?

Accessible rooms are located on the first floor, but stairs are needed to reach second floor rooms, and there are no elevators. Let us know in advance if there are any special accommodations required for your stay.

Is smoking or alcohol permitted at the retreat center?

Alcohol, cigarettes and other smoking devices, and firearms are not permitted on the property.
